My husband got me a gift card to Katherine Henry for a Boudoir session for my 40th birthday. I was very surprised because this is not something I would have ever thought to do for myself.

His reasoning was that he wanted me to see myself the way that he does - beautiful. I never in my wildest dreams imagined that a photo session could literally change my life, but that is exactly what happened.

I was super nervous walking into the studio that day as I can be very shy in new situations. Katherine immediately made me feel like we had been friends for years - we talked about our kids, current craft projects, 80s music...it was so natural and easy.

At the end of that session, I walked out a different person - I felt empowered, beautiful, strong, and confident. These pictures brought my husband and me closer and they are so special to both of us. We have been together for 21 years and married for 15 of them and I have never felt closer to him.

My session with Katherine was a turning point in my life and something that I hope all women get to experience. Katherine is incredibly talented and kind - you could not ask for a better human to take such phenomenal photos.

A few months before our 8th wedding anniversary my husband nonchalantly asked me if I would be interested in doing a boudoir photo session. I replied YES! That would be so fun.

I did not think much of it after he had mentioned it to me and on our anniversary in the sweet card he gave me was a gift certificate for the session with Katherine!

I was so pleasantly surprised! We had a lot of fun looking through her website and social media prior to my session. The experience itself was better than advertised and it made it so special that it was a gift from my husband!
